·        Computer Classes for our Target Groups on – an - ongoing basis.

·        Suicide Awareness Training for Management, staff, and Target Groups of L.A.C.D.P. A six weeks programme administered by Eamonn Lawless open to the general public. ASSIST programme provided by the Mental Health. Two day training for leaders and lay people in the community in November.

·        L.A.C.D.P Ltd. Management and Staff Training in Company Law and Management skills, Administered by Triskele.

·        Health and Safety Training for Directors and Staff.

·        Arigna Rural Social Scheme Administrated by Lough Allen Development.

·        Work in co - operation with Rural Lift (Gerry Mc Gouty) to facilitate more people to avail of transport for the Active Age.

·        Winter Newsletter.

·         Continuation of Befriender service funded by H.S.E and administrated by L.A.C.D.P.

 

Courses for Women

Classes in Confidence Building/Assertiveness. February 2006

Nutritionist to give classes on Healthy eating nutrition. March 2006

Personal Development classes for women.

Driving classes for women in rural isolated areas funded by Co. Leitrim Partnership.

 

Active Age:

Continuation of Bereavement Counselling.

M.A.B.S.  Help people manage their finances and budgeting.

Social visits to the Ederney Trust in Co. Fermanagh (Our Cross Border Connection) Funding received from North South Rural Voice and Co – Co-operation Ireland for events between the two groups.

Solicitor to give information evening on Legal Issues, wills, etc.

Christmas Craft Fair

Senior Citizens Christmas Party.

 

 

Men’s group:

Dietician to give classes on Healthy Eating.

Dr. to give seminar on Men’s Health issues.

Adult learning classes, incorporating computer skills.

Visit Focus farm in Northern Ireland. Men’s group will socialise with men with similar Interests and backgrounds, ongoing contact maintained.

Solicitor to give information evening on Legal Issues, wills, etc.

Rural Resource worker from Co. Leitrim Partnership to give information session on Agriculture and various topics related to farming.

 

 

Youth Group:

Cross border links established through contact with young people.  Social events to held in Ederney and Drumkeeran.

January 2006 opening of Internet Café in the Rowantree Centre, with funding received from the Department of Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.
